As a data scientist in Life Sciences, you will always be part of interdisciplinary – and in most cases global – teams solving use case-driven challenges using real world data. Whether it’s analyzing patient journeys or the development of seeds under special circumstances, our world – your world – deals with big data, advanced analytics, data curation and linkage, knowledge engineering, etc. to develop new business models for a better life.

Statistics & Applied Mathematics
Ensure the use of appropriate and efficient methods of statistical analysis to support the development and submission of Bayer products.
Lead and drive scientific discoveries & innovation by analyzing big or complex data via best-in-class and novel ways to strongly impact the R&D pipeline.
Set, drive & implement governance processes and policies within a given data domain.
Develop and maintain ETLs of raw data into analytics environments to support digital work including, but not limited to, data discovery, data model development, platform engineering, and other uses.
Create logical and physical data models and design data structure, storage, and integration.
Leverage domain expertise to work closely with data scientists and statisticians to interpret their work and make recommendations to stakeholders.
As a postdoc in Life Sciences at Bayer, you’ll work in high-risk cutting-edge technologies/projects.
Join us as a junior with 0-2 years’ work experience after your master’s or PhD and contribute to diverse data science projects (Python, R programmer, visualizations, ML/AI, statistics).
Take over project leads (agile project management) as a senior with 2-5 years’ work experience.
Start e.g. as a data strategist with 5+ years’ work experience and lead larger initiatives in the Data Science field at principal level.
