Bayer AG, Pharmaceutical Division
I really appreciate the various personal and professional development opportunities that often even involve international assignments. I spent the past few years at Bayer in three different countries. I have been back in Germany for a year now.
We incorporated a business area in Switzerland which had formerly been handled by a distributor. It felt like creating a start-up within a big multinational corporation and I felt a real entrepreneur during that time.
Another challenge I had in England was a team I led which had just undergone restructuring. I came in as an outsider, was young, and arrived from headquarters in Germany. It took quite some time to build an engaged and motivated team and was one of the biggest challenges in my career so far. At the same time it helped me grow as a leader.
I am very much driven by the challenges that my job offers. I want to design and shape ideas and at the same time take responsibility for my actions and my team.
Travelling, which I love to combine with good food and drinks. I also do sports to balance my office job.
Persistence – when I have set my mind on a goal, I am very ambitious to achieve it. I am a real team player and quite good at creating good interpersonal relationships.
Being happy and making sure my family is happy, too. They have always supported me throughout my career; especially my husband. I really appreciate this and do not take them for granted.
